Granger has read, with much sympathy, the account given in the Freeman's Journal concerning the leper mission at Molokai. McMaster is always willing to help such sufferers and so Granger asks him to send the enclosed $5. to Father Damian Deveuster . He hopes that this may be the beginning of much aid to the colony through McMaster' instigation and hopes that the good works done will continue.
