Vallette, writing to McMaster in Italian, encloses for him a list of the Hierarchy of America, which list requires several corrections and additions. The manuscript contains errors in spelling and also in geographical locations. Vallette, an employee of McMaster's has undertaken the research at the request of McMaster and at the request of the pastor of Viscorie, Italy. The only compensation which Vallette can receive for this work for the church is to have McMaster correct his manuscript and return him a printed copy. The enclosure contains a list of the heirarchy of America listing them according to diocesses and residences, and dated August 10, 1878.
