He read McMaster's review of the book of "Maria Monk's Daughter" and also the card in the "Sun" newspaper. He thinks that an hour and a half is too short a time for McMaster to form any judgment on the book and he asks McMaster to read the book again and form a definite opinion that will carry more weight. He writes not to criticise, but only to call his attention to the fact that his judgment was too hasty.
