Longemare, L., St. Louis, Missouri, to James Alphonsus McMaster, New York, New York, 1871 July 17

 Item
Identifier: CMMA I-1-n

Scope and Contents

In these times of extreme trial the proof of sympathy is in a reverent silence. His family appreciates the sympathy expressed by McMaster and his family in the loss of their mother and wife. One fears not for the dead but for those who yet must face the uncertainty of a good death. Emile Longemare has told them so often of McMaster that they feel that he is no stranger to them and his wife has urged him to write this letter and to assure McMaster that they pray for him and his five children. Emile, to whom he writes, shares their affection. :: I-1-n A.L.S. French 2pp. 12mo.
