Sidley, Father R.A., Sandusky, Ohio, to James Alphonsus McMaster, New York, New York, 1870 January 21
Scope and Contents
Father Sidley sends McMaster $2, the subscription for Andrew Mahon for the Freeman's Journal. He asks that back numbers be sent, and adds that though this may be annoying to McMaster, that it is also annoying to Sidley, though he feels he can stand any amount of trouble if it advances the Freeman. He asks McMaster to continue his fight for what is right, and feels that McMasters' last castigation directed against Bishop John H. Luers, repays Sidley ten times over for his trouble. He has heard from Father E.M. O'Callaghan, and things appear cheering. He is amused at the remarks of different people with regard to whom Jus is. :: I-1-n A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
