Sharkey, Father Francis A., West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to James Alphonsus McMaster, New York, New York, 1869 January 26

Identifier: CMMA I-1-n

Scope and Contents

Father Sharkey thanks McMaster for printing his article, but feels that something should be done to reassure the priests that Jus is not a myth. Sharkey suggests that McMaster print up a fair synopsis of the whole argument in two or three columns of the Journal, and send copies to all the secular priests in the United States. He feels that if that does not bring them out in support, then they deserve to remain as they are. The result of such action would be to increase the fund, show the unanimity of the clergy, and would also further the interests of the Journal. :: I-1-n A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
