McMaster, J. C., Goodland, Indiana, to James Alphonsus McMaster, New York, New York, 1866 January 15
Scope and Contents
The writer, a brother of McMaster, reflects on the death of another brother, E. D. McMaster and states that though seperated for years, their mutual love of their childhood home leaves them much in common. The dead brother was "a stranger in the earth". None but his intimate friends really knew his excellences. He does not mourn for him, for he is one of those of whom it can be said "It will be well with him," He states that though he is of a generation that has for the most part passed away, he is interested in hearing of anything relating to their broken home and those connected with it. :: I-1-n A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
