 Item
Identifier: CJSH II-2-o

Scope and Contents

Shea encloses a check for $22, his first installment of the promised $100. A gentleman from Buffalo Orsamus Holmes Marshall has written Shea at great length on a project for a Father Jacques Marquette monument on the island. A frame chapel with possibly the sanctuary of stone, using, if available, the foundation stones, using, if available, the foundation stones of Marquette's, and with a marble slab on the outer wall will, Shea thinks, be sufficient. Shea sent a copy of the article to Father Felix Martin in France. :: II-2-o A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
