Scope and Contents

Mr. Newton, a prominent lawyer of Flint, a warm friend of Catholics, a brother-in-law of Governor Fenton, wishes to place his 5½ year old daughter, abandoned by her mother, with the Ladies of the Sacred Heart in Detroit, not so much to learn, as to be brought up a Christian, safe and secure from her mother's influence. Newton has divorced his wife. She is one of Father Mannegan's converts who never practiced her religion. :: III-2-l A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
