He is glad that his suggestion to Bishop Martin John Spalding meets Lefevere's joint approval. Purcell forwarded a letter to all their colleagues, except Fort Wayne, absent, to meet at Detroit on July 13. He does not know if Bishop Frederic Baraga will have time to reach there.
