Lefevere is asked to invite to the Council his heads of Religious Orders. He inquires for news of Bishop Louis de Goesbriand of Burlington who he is told has been struck with hemiplegy. Father Peter J. Lavialle has again returned his Bulls to Rome without consulting Bishop Martin J. Spalding.
