Scope and Contents
He has received Baraga's note of March 3 and will try to see that justice is done in regard to the school money. Stuart will make a report to the Secretary of War who will make such decision as he deems just. The results will be made known to Bishop Lefevere to whom Baraga should communicate. Should the treaty be ratified, the teacher can be procured next spring. Stuart hopes that Baraga will be able to do much for the Indians. :: III-2-g A.L.S. 1p. 8vo.
