Scope and Contents

By this letter Fenwick appoints Rese, who has been with him three years and while enjoying his confidence, has acted also as his vicar General, as his agent on his trip to the feet of the Holy Father and to Europe. Whatever Rese proposes or does, Fenwick accepts as his own. On the back of the copy Aloysius Capponi, secretary of the Apostolic Nuntiatura at Vienna testifies that he has made the copy with his own hand and that it is a correct of the original.
