Rosati, C.M., Bishop Joseph, St. Louis, Missouri, to Father John Timon, C.M., Barrens, Missouri, 1832 November 16
Scope and Contents
If Timon had seen their city at the time of the arrival and departure of Mr. Maddock, he would not be surprised that they did not think to send Timon the prospectus. Mr. Taylor brought them some weeks ago. Father Philip Borgna. C.M. was to have sent them from Ste. Genevieve where he went at the beginning of this week; at least he sent them to Father Francis Cellini, C.M.. Rosati is leaving in a few hours for Vincennes where he is to meet Bishop Benedict Joseph Flaget; he will do all he can to induce Flaget to take the route through St. Louis. Rosati will be back in ten days. Timon's brother has been very ill with the cholera, his sister lost a negress and Rosati's household lost their old Lydy. :: IV-3-i A.L.S. French 2pp. 4to.
