Heth, General H., Washington, D. C., to Henry F. Brownson, Detroit, Michigan, 1891 November 20

 Item
Identifier: CBRH III-3-d

Scope and Contents

Brownson is asked to state whether his Battery L and M, 3rd Artillery, fired any shots on September 17, 1862, and whether his Batteries remained in the same positions during the entire day. Sergeant O'Brien, now in the Soldiers' Home in this city, says he was a member of the L and M 3rd Artillery September 17, and thinks in the evening L and M took positions near the bridge and about 150 to 200 yards below the bridge, on a level with the bridge. Brownson is asked if this corresponds with his recollections. :: III-3-d A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
