It was fortunate that Brownson gave him another week; his nephew, Father Joseph H. Richards, S.J. the president of Georgetown encouraged him to complete the paper. He saw the Pope's address only last Sunday and had to change some of his paper. He arranges to send Brownson the paper so that he can have it for practicing his delivery.
