He received the note last evening and would have answered before but he did not see the man deliver the note. The list has been prepared for some time. They agreed on the need of reading matter but delayed in the hope of seeing him again. They want him to be comfortable while in Rome and are sorry they are so useless. Today he heard that F. Curry had arrived and since F. Quinn intended to come with him he is anxious to know if he has arrived. He adds a list of the books they have acquired.
