He quotes from the decree that the altar must be consecrated at the same time that the church is to be consecrated. McNeirny takes for granted that the altar must be a fixed one. As to the address, since there is no founder he suggests that they omit it. The breaking of the seal of the present altar and extracting the relics would desecrate the present altar and McFarland can do that.
