McCloskey, John, Bishop of, Albany, New York, to Father Francis P. McFarland, Watertown, New York, 1848 July 31
Scope and Contents
McCloskey acknowledges McFarland's letter containing the statistical account of his mission. He is sorry not to have heard about the collection for the seminary which was to have been taken up on Pentecost. He will begin the visitation of the diocese in the latter part of August. He proposes being in Watertown Oct.3 until Oct.10. He reminds McFarland that the collection for the cathedral will be taken up on the occasion of his visit. He does not forget the wants of McFarland's mission and will provide for them when Providence given him the means. P.S. Best regards to Mr. and Mrs. Binsse. :: I-1-a A.L.S. 1p. 12mo.
