Sister De Sales and Sister Blandine enter their retreat for profession that night. The Mother and other sisters will make their annual retreat with them. The novices will be professed on August 21. She has not been well because of a cold. Sister Blandine is a convert, an English lady, and an accomplished harpist. She was delighted to see that he had an assistant and the number of churches he had built that year. She does not love crosses but fears them.
