Scope and Contents
The Archives has periodic reports from the Motherhouse administrator beginning in 1983. These reports include the activity and costs of Motherhouse co-workers (employees) and the maintenance of Motherhouse property, which includes the convent, poultry, beef and grain farms, Villa Maria (Lindenwood), the Catherine Kasper Home, and the "Little House" vacation home. Information provided includes payroll statistics, the hiring and termination of employees, planting and harvest statistics from the farms, maintenance and repairs costs for facilities, activities of employees, and significant events involving employees. From 1983 to 1990, during the administration of Sr. Mary Ellen Goeller, the reports were monthly. From 1991, under the administrationof Sr. Judian Breitenbach, the reports have been bi-monthly. From 1991 the reports have been accompanyied by a narrative from the administrator covering significant activity in Motherhouse / Ministry Center departments, including housekeeping and laundry, food service, building and maintenance, power plant, farms, materials management and personnel departments, Catherine Kasper Home, and Maria Center. Reports from the departments themselves are also included, along with supporting material such as memos and announcements.
