Scope and Contents

This register occupies pages 1-57 of a ledger and was originally compiled c. 1885. It is arranged by the date of entry into the community. Pages 1 and 2 simply list the sisters who entered the order in Europe and then came to America, beginning with the Provincial Superior Sr. Prudentia (Provincial 1872-1885) and her council (Srs. Hyacinth, Matrona, Eudoxia) and then in order of arrival in America, giving religious name and remarks, which include date of death or of return to Europe. Pages 4-57 list sisters who entered the community in America in order of entry, giving baptismal and last names, place of birth, religious name, dates of investiture (reception), first profession, perpetual vows, and remarks, including the fact and/or date of death or departure from the community. Pages 58-84 of this ledger contain an Entry Register, described below.
