General
Letter. ALG thanks Ottó for the information sent on 15 of August. Ottó did mention is his letter the financial compensations paid by the Hungarian state to the Order in satisfaction of wrong done in 1945. As per Ottó's will, ALG did not make any arrangements to get back the Canon's monastic quarters from the state. ALG learned by word of mouth of the "half a million", but he does not know if this amount is in dollars or the Hungarian currency, Forint. This relief, however, does not mean selling the Order at Gödöllő. ALG will vote "non placet" if the Hungarian government considers this a sale with a transfer of ownership to them. This would eliminate any future atonement from their part. If the relief is considered "lease" then ALG would vote yes. He knows that nobody will vote "non placet" and that his only vote will not change anything, still his conscience dictates him to cast this vote. ALG thinks that Ottó keeps all his correspondences, just like ALG keeps his. ALG will turn 87 soon. Hungarian
