ALG to Canon Aldorfai Benedek, 1989 February 20
Dates
- Creation: 1989 February 20
Language of Materials
In English, Hungarian, French, German, Italian, and Latin.
General
Letter. ALG thanks Benedek for the pictures about the Jászó Chapel and its viscinity. Per ALG's request, Prior Dr. Theodore Antry of the Norbertine Abbey at Daylesford, collects and keeps every material having to do with Jászó, now Jasov in Chechoslovakia. ALG was born in Hungary, but he never regretted to join the Slovak Canonical Order at Jászó, instead of joining the Hungarian Order at Csornya. The Prémontré Canons of Csornya reestablished their Order in California. But ALG did not like the spirit of the Order when he visited them last time. ALG is sad to note that since Laurisin Lajos has died, he has no friends in America. Canon Raszlaviczy is dead and buried at the Daylesford Abbey. ALG sends information concerning former students of Gödöllő's Gymnazium who live in the United States and are all still indebted to their teachers. ALG regrets that he could not contact Benedek at Jászó when he was attending a conference in Prague last year. Hungarian
