General

Letter. Yesterday, the Embassy's Consular Section called Mary and interviewed her concerning the inheritance of ALG. ALG's request to investigate the status of his property in Hungary is their mandate and now the attache is gathering information. Mary said that the person who leases ALG's share of the property pays a small rent to the state. Mary thinks that ALG should ask for compensation since he is the rightful owner. Also the state confiscated ALG's 3 bedroom apartment, including his library, when he left the country, and for this too ALG should be recompenseted for. Mary sends the bill for the 400 Forints she had to pay for the Embassy. Mary visited Pécs several times to clear up the situation with the land. Ottó travels a lot but came home for Christmas with lots of presents. She lost hope to see ALG next Christmas as ALG has promised to visit them many times but never came. Hungarian
