Letter. Having left Hungary after the 1956 war of independence, Katalin starts a new life in New York. Her professors at the University of Budapest, ALG's Alma Mater, were still teaching her in 1949, but were all fired for political reasons in 1950. Prof. Kumorovitz, ALG's confrere and housemate in Budapest, tought her the science of print and sealing in the School of Archives. She asks ALG to let her know about the various opportunities, if any, where she might get a job. She has been a teacher and an archivist back in Hungary, however she refused time and time again to collaborate with the communists in teaching and research. She was degraded in her job because of this. Katalin and her family are ready to move wherever she could find a challenging job opportunity. Hungarian
