General

Letter. Elemér, chancellor of the Academy, requests ALG to accept the position of American secretary general of the Academy. Together with the chancellor, ALG would have a say in the operation of this important institution. Elemér sends the plans for various prizes, coins, and awards of the Academy for next year and asks ALG's advise. The Vatican, otherwise morally supportive of the Hungarian Academy, will not make financial commitments. Thus Elemér asks ALG's suggestion concerning endowments for arts and cultural programs in America. Hungarian
