General
Letter. ALG inteded to write sooner but was too busy between lecturing in Washington and revising student's dissertations. He congratulates Endre for his appointment to president of the Káldi Association and for his many scientific publications. ALG informs Endre that he is at variance with the president of the Academy concerning the membership -- ALG's view is that every current member should vote for a candidate in writing, considering late or no answers as a positive votes. In addition a serious Catholic Academy has to have a list of the names of its members -- ALG still doesn't know who is member and who is not -- and a serious board of editors working independently from parish priests. He agrees with Imre's proposition that instead of the yearly almanac they should put out a series of pamphlets in parts. ALG encloses the bealted, yet helpful literature of Hungarian Humanistic trends for Endre's consideration. Hungarian
