Scope and Contents
Founding documents concerning the origins, canonical erection, and incorporation of the conference; bylaws of the conference, statutes of the corporation, handbooks of procedures, and reports to the Office of Recorder of Deeds; presidential office files containing circulars and correspondence of Paul Boyle, James A. Francis, Alan McCoy, Ronald Carignan, and Stephen Tutas, whose files are far more extensive than those of the earlier presidents; and material generated by activities of the governing body of CMSM, called the National Executive Committee until 1979 and the National Executive Board (or National Board) thereafter. Correspondents include members of CMSM, members of the hierarchy in the United States and Rome, the Apostolic Delegate, news media, and government officials.
