The bulk of this collection relates to R. Otto Probst's acquisition of golf books during the 1930s. Probst compiled a large and noteworthy library of books about golf, and the thousands of pieces of correspondence (both incoming and outgoing), receipts, and invoices document his acquisition of new golfing titles from rare book dealers, auction houses, and other vendors.
