Hardenbergh W. Ad St. Paul, Minnesota to James F. Edwards Notre Dame, Indiana, 1898 December 22
The handsome engraving of Notre Dame which Edwards sent was received. While there is little to remind him of the Notre Dame of a generation ago, he will be proud of it. Edwards is not sociable of late years; it must be that St. Paul has fallen under the ban of his displeasure.
