Masterson Family Papers
The collection includes more than 50 manuscript letters written during the Civil War by Pvt. John William Masterson, Co. A, 133rd New York Infantry, as well as later papers relating to Masterson's service and to his son William and daughter Ida.

Meek Family Correspondence
A group of 27 personal letters written by, to, or about James Monroe Meek, an East Tennessee lawyer and legislator jailed by the Confederates for his Unionist sympathies. Most of the correspondence dates from the Civil War.

Seventy one original photographic prints by an unidentified German photographer mounted on two photo albums. The first album houses twenty four photographic prints of the Warsaw Ghetto. The second album includes forty seven photographic prints of Warsaw.
Pittsburgh Outsider Journals
Three idiosyncratic manuscript journals of deeply cynical leftist political commentary, written by an unidentified Irish-American resident of Pittsburgh, ca. 1922-1932. The journals treat local, national, and international affairs, contemporaneous and historical: there is much on World War I, Ireland, and American politics generally. The volumes are illustrated with some 750 drawings, many of them portraits.
Polish Resistance During World War II Periodicals Collection
The collection contains ephemera publications produced in clandestinely operating printing shops throughout Poland during the German occupation. The collection covers a wide range of groups active in the underground from nationalist to Soviet sympathizing communists. Of particular interest are titles which were printed during the Warsaw Uprising (August 1-October 2, 1944).
Price Family Letters
Thirty-one personal letters written between members of the Price family of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illinois during the American Civil War. The letters are notable for their Copperhead and anti-abolitionist sentiments.

A group of 12 letters written by the Western Pennsylvania Quakers John and Joseph Pugh during the Civil War. Included are 6 letters written by John during his service aboard the U.S.S. Quaker City, of the navy's East Gulf Blockading Squadron.
Read Family Correspondence
A small group of papers originating with the Read family of the central Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Included are 28 letters written by three different family members during the Civil War: Confederate States soldier Thomas Griffin Read, Co. I, 33rd Virginia Infantry (10 letters); his wife Martha White Read, of Augusta County (15 letters); and the CS artilleryman John Henry Read (3 letters).

The manuscript sermons and other personal papers of the Universalist minister Rev. Levi Ballou, who from 1843 to 1865 was settled at the First Congregational Parish and Society of Orange, Massachusetts.

This collection is that of posters collected by Richard Bizot, former assistant professor at Notre Dame and faculty counsel to the Collegiate Jazz Festival, for social and cultural events of various natures that took place at the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College, and in the city of South Bend, IN from 1968 to 1971.

A personal letter written from Columbus, Ohio on 25 August 1863 by Confederate Col. Richard C. Morgan, 14th Kentucky Cavalry, following his capture on John Hunt Morgan's Indiana-Ohio Raid. The letter is directed to sister-in-law Martha Ready Morgan, John Morgan's wife.
Richard Henry Tawney World War I Papers
This collection chiefly consists of the correspondence and personal papers of Richard Henry Tawney relating to his service in World War I. Personal, government, and Army correspondence are included, as well as military and government records. Correspondence are present in the form of letters, telegrams, and postcards. Robert S. Edwards Papers
Around 60 items, mostly manuscripts, with a bearing on the Civil War service of Lt. Robert S. Edwards of the 48th New York Infantry. Among the 45 personal letters are 14 written by Edwards and 22 directed to him by his brother and sister-in-law, Ogden and Nellie Edwards, then living in the Philippines. There are also a number of items relating to Robert Edwards's death (at Fort Wagner in Charleston Harbor) and post-mortem arrangements.
Ruhleben Camp Magazine Scrapbook
Two-volume scrapbook containing original drawings and text for In Ruhleben Camp (1915) and The Ruhleben Camp Magazine (1916-1917) compiled possibly for postwar publication. The satirical drawings and writings deal with life of British civilians interned in a German prisoner camp in Ruhleben, Germany. Two bound volumes of the published camp magazine accompany the scrapbook.
Saint Joseph County (Ind.) Civil War Records
Civil War Records recounting the war and post-war activities of Saint Joseph County residents; with correspondence of soldiers, including Lt. Col. Alfred B. Wade and Schuyler Colfax; the records of various Saint Joseph county war offices, including registers of the sick, wounded and dead; and records of activities of several Indiana infantry regiments, among them the 73rd Indiana Infantry (1862-1924).
Samuel T. Reeves Correspondence
A family correspondence of 31 items whose principal author is Sgt. Samuel T. Reeves, writing as a member of Co. C, 80th Indiana Infantry. Many of the letters date from the spring of 1865, when Reeves was convalescing at Camp Dennison, Ohio.
