Scope and Contents

The personal scrapbook of Angelina Vértiz de Barthez. Included are numerous comments from admirers, autographs, and newspaper clippings, as well as some enclosures. Materials date from her first exhibition in 1946 to 1976. Included are exhibition announcements from 1949, 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956, and 1976.

Scope and Contents This collection documents the activities of the Charabanc Theatre Company, active from 1983-1995.The Charabanc Theatre was founded in Belfast, Northern Ireland by five actresses: Eleanor Methven, Marie Jones, Carol Scanlan (Moore), Brenda Winter, and Maureen McAuley. The athletic papers and attendant printed matter of Chicagoan Fred L. Steers, deriving from his years of administrative service to the Central Association of the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States, the national AAU, and the American Olympic Committee. The collection includes substantial materials on the Olympic Games of 1928 (Amsterdam), 1932 (Los Angeles), and 1936 (Berlin), all of which Steers attended as manager of the U.S. women's track and field team.

Scope and Contents The Jack Pfefer Wrestling Collection comprises more than 120 cubic feet of materials accumulated by Pfefer over a 45-year promotional and managerial career in professional wrestling, 1924-1969. Abstract

The correspondence and other papers of the American Lenore Mooney (1859-1941), dating especially from her time as a relief worker in Paris during World War I. There are many letters to Mooney from French soldiers and others victimized by the war, as well as a substantial correspondence with nephew Charles E. Bayly, Jr., an ambulance driver with the American Field Service who subsequently served as sous-lieutenant in the French army.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of the personal papers of Mary Martín, a Spanish artist. Materials include loose sketches and sketchbooks of Martín, as well as newspaper clippings on her exhibitions, photographs, some prints, and notes. The majority of the materials are undated. Significant topics include women artists, Spanish artists, Mexican art, and sketching.
