 File — Box: 5, Folder: 1
Identifier: ARCH001-0115

Scope and Contents

Planning and programming for the College's expansion more than doubled the building area for the 4,000-student community college campus.

The expansion included classrooms, a library, laboratories for physics, chemistry, and biology, a 600-seat theater, a black box theater, a radio broadcast area, faculty offices, a lecture hall, a student commons, and a competition swimming pool. The college plan includes an observatory and radio/television production facilities, to be constructed in a later phase.

Sasaki worked on the project in a joint venture with Andersen Architects and the BKLH Group in Colorado. The work received awards from the Boston Society of Architects, the Colorado Chapter of the AIA, and the American Institute of Architects.

Sasaki Associates provided master planning, architectural, landscape architectural, civil engineering, interior and graphic design services.
