Thomas Fitzpatrick Pacific Coast League Baseball Scorebooks
Content Description
This collection consists of 18 baseball fan scorebooks recording information about mostly Pacific Coast League (PCL) games in the 1950s and 1960s. Each of the scorebooks was commercially printed for the purpose of recording baseball statistics and were completed by hand. Some games and scorebooks are accompanied by newspaper clippings and fan newsletters. The vast majority of games involved PCL teams, with the Vancouver Mounties (an affiliate of several different Major League franchises during these years) being the most represented. The scorebooks provide detailed accounts of the games that were attended in person or listened to on the radio. The scorebooks were kept in a uniform hand, and one the books is attributed to Thomas Fitzpatrick of Vancouver, Alberta, Canada. Little else is know about Fitzpatrick. Formats include scorebooks and clippings.
