The primary item in this collection is a scrapbook kept by professional golfer Mike Brady (1887-1972). The scrapbook documents his professional golf career from the 1900s until the 1920s, as well as his induction into the PGA Hall of Fame in 1960. The scrapbook primarily contains newspaper and magazines clippings about his competitions, but the collection also includes some photographs, and pieces of ephemera.

Biographical / Historical
Michael Joseph "Mike" Brady (1887-1972) was a professional golfer during the early decades of the twentieth century. He first began participating in professional golf tournaments in his home state of Massachusetts in about 1908. He won 9 PGA tour events between 1916 and 1926. At both the 1911 and 1919 U.S. Open Golf Championships, Brady finished in a tie for first place after regulation and lost the ensuing playoff round. Throughout his career, he worked as a golf pro at numerous golf courses, particularly in Massachusetts and California. In 1960, he was inducted into the PGA Hall of Fame. Brady died in Florida in 1972.
