Biographical / Historical
Randolph Huntington (1828-1916) was a well-known horse breeder from Rochester and Oyster Bay, New York. He is best remembered for what he called his Clay-Arabs, which he bred by crossing the Clay family of American trotting horses with imported Arabian horses. During the Panic of 1893 Huntington's operation went into receivership, and his stock was sold.
