Scope and Content Note

The greater part of the Salkazanova collection, some 955 items, consists of typescripts for a variety of programs that aired on Radio Liberty in Paris where Salkazanova worked as a reporter and host. These materials range in date from 1977 through 1985. Some of the scripts feature revisions in ink. Other, less-extensive series in the collection include: audio recordings made by Salkazanova during the 1980s and 1990s, which include interviews with Natan Eidel'man, Elena Bonner, Eduard Kuznetsov, and Viktor Nekrasov (some 32 times) and broadcast recordings, mainly programs hosted by Salkazanova on Radio Liberty during the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s including Chelovek i obshchestvo, Za i protiv, Russkii Parizh, and Vokrug sveta (some 68 items).
