Scope and Contents
This collection consists of about 40 professional football all-star game programs. Leagues represented include the National Football League (NFL, 1922-) and the American Football League (AFL, 1960-1969). The collection includes mostly NFL Pro-Bowl programs with a small number of AFL All-Star game programs. The programs typically contain photographs, statistics, and rosters of the players on the All-Star teams. Many programs also contain articles about the history of the All-Star game, stories about the current season, information about team owners or league officials, and advertisements. The programs tend to get longer and more substantial through the years.
