Biographical / Historical

Originating in 1935, the Sugar Bowl has been played annually in the New Orleans, Louisiana, area (except for 2006 when it was relocated to the Georgia Dome due to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina) on or near New Year’s Day and features two college football teams, often from different regions of the country.
