Scope and Contents

The volume entitled "At the Waterfall 1911 Abastuman" (U Vodopada Leto 1911 g. Abastuman) describes Rusudana's relationship with the doctor, Konstantin Alekseevich Krestnikov. RNN met Krestnikov during her one-week stay in Abastuman, Georgia in 1911. The volume contains fragments of Rusudana's correspondence with Krestnikov and varlious family members. It also includes many passages about her future husband, historian Mikhail Aleksandrovich Polievktov and his friend, philosopher Ivan Ivanovich Laphin, a well as chemistry professors Vladimir Nikolaevich Ipatiev, Ivan Ivanovich Zhukov and others. Chronologically, the memoir continues beyond 1911 with Rusudana's trip to Switzerland (1912), her decision to marry Polievktov (1913), and her trip to Norway after her marriage (also 1913).
