Manuscript letter from Stanislas Foäche, P. Morange and Company at Cap-Français to Viscount de la Belinaye at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France. They have been extremely busy since the beginning of the year and so were unable to send him his account update for the previous year; they enclose it here, prolonged to the date 14 May 1782, the last date of their previous company. The government has repaid some of the difference that had been lost in the billeting of officers. There is such a backlog of cases in the Superior Council that his cases against Zabeau, Marguerite Ensalle, and Cockburn have still not been determined and there is little they can do but wait their turn. They enclose an account statement dated 14 May, of which there are two copies in the folder.
