J. Zyto Relacjonuje Rzadowi wydarzenia w Bydgoszczy, unknown
Scope and Contents
An announcement of the meeting between Solidarity and Joseph Zyto, who was a prosecutor in Gdansk during the major Polish protests in 1970, when hundreds of workers were killed or wounded. The "events in Bydgoszcz" refer to the local strikes where several delegates of Solidarity were beaten by the police. The Bydgoszcz events became a turning point for the Solidarity movement, with the union successfully bargaining with the government to have the strikes and the violence covered by the state media, which was previously forbidden to cover protests.
