This endentur made betwix Dame Alic Portington late þe wif of Sir John Portington knyght on þe on parte And John Garman of Whitgift on þe other parte Witness þat þe said Dame Alic has graunte and to farme latyn to þe said John A fish garth and a ferry with all maner of fishing fro hakonsile to denman cros oþerwise callid Bosom cros except þat þer come Any Aunterus fish þat is to sai if porpas or sturgyn þan þe said Dame Alic to haue a quarter þerof and þe said John to haue and to holde þe forsaide fish garth and þe ferry with all manner of fishing within þe bounds a forsaide in þe lordship of Usflete fro þe fest of saint martyn next commyng to þe time of sex yere yelding yerly to þe said Dame Alic iiii marces and ui samons In witnesse of this þe partees abouusaid has sundirly set to þare seles writen at Adlingflete þe xxi day of August þe yere of our lorde millesimo cccc lxxi.
