US Letter sheet, no cover. Type-written letter from Cracker Jack Kid, explaining that Commonpress 47 is being prepared. Mentions a "handfolded envelope" enclosed made from clothing material sent by mail artists (see Folder: 640), with instructions for altering the envelope for a mail art exhibition (handmade envelope not present, presumably sent back for exhibition). Rubber stamp in black ink: "MATERIAL METAMORPHOSIS" logo (circular design with bird and postage cancelled wave as motion lines). Sheet ornamented with rough sketches in various colored pencils. Coin rubbings in red and grey colored pencil on reverse. No date, item separated from cover. Deadline listed as "December 1, 1981", and a postcard dated "28 July 1981" explains that Cracker Jack Kid has received material from Bakhchanyan for the project (see Folder: 637).
