Periodical: The Indian Craftsman, 1909 February-April
Scope and Contents
The Indian Craftsman was published monthly by the Carlisle Indian Press from February 1909 to January 1910; thereafter it was titled The Red Man. A statement in the second isssue reads: "This publication aims to place before its readers authentic reports from experienced men and women in the field, or investigators not connected with the government service, which may aid the reader to a fuller understanding and broader knowledge of the Indian, his Customs, Education, Progress, and relation to the government; consequently, the institution does not hold itself responsible for, and need not necessarily agree with, the opinions expressed in its columns."
