He is grateful for the kind note Hudson sent him accompanying the copies of the Ave Maria containing his, Jenkins, first published literary work. In answer to Hudson's invitation he states that his duties as pastor of two small parishes leave him ample time for writing. He is considering the possibility of revising his translation of several of Schmid's Tales for the Ave Maria. He explains how it happened that the IndoEuropean correspondence has not been sent in exchange for the Ave Maria which he has been receiving quite regularly.
