Papers, 1961-1972, including newsletters, clippings, reports, correspondence, and manuscripts of "The Peace Corps As I Saw It"; concerning Langford's work as director of the Peace Corps training program at Notre Dame and service with the Peace Corps in Chile. Background

Walter M. Langford began teaching at Notre Dame in 1931 and served as the head of the Department of Modern and Classical languages 1946-1959. He served as the organizer of the first overseas training program for Peace Corps volunteers. He directed a Chilean Peace Corps program 1961-1963.
