Hewitt Family Papers
Scope and Content
Primarily letters written by siblings Frances Hewitt, Muriel Hewitt, Robert Hayes Hewitt, Father Thomas Edward Hewitt, and William Henry Hewitt to their parents Harry and Agnes Hewitt of Chicago, Illinois, 1927-1969, with some letters between the sibling and a few from individuals outside the family, 1934-1973. Many of these letters are transcribed and included in Patricia A. MacKenzie's "Letters to 814" (Richmond, Virginia, 1997), which is also included in the collection. Also related photographs, printed ephemera, clippings, and documents.
