Biographical / Historical
The Committee on International Relations, established at Notre Dame in 1949 with support from the Rockefeller Foundation and led by Waldemar Gurian, sponsored lectures and symposia by experts on international affairs and eventually published a series of books. The Committee studied the interplay of religion and democracy in the preservation of international order.
